i still come here often lol. yeah ive been wondering hows evryone doing? life been gd to you these last 5/6 mths? got into the course of your choice? haha wat happened to the cls outing man ZL?

JC days, were still the best times right. we could still pretend we were kids, with little of the adult responsibility such as earning our own money etc. i rmb the days of reading books at the ohana, buying prata from the malay stall, playing n getting pwned in the DotA competition, the endless PEs. those were the days.

things would be quite different if we turn back time as we are now, those in NS, we would have gained something from it i think. perhaps discipline, perhaps patience. n the ladies, well i believe life has thought u its lessons as well.

as for me, well i feel like ive changed. my perception of the world, n the diff kinds of ppl in it. its a trying time for me now, coz well i was nvr that smart in acads so i think u can guess my position. but somehow, i feel like theres more to life than juz that. haha our teachers would staunchly disagree, but id like to prove to the world that we can be just as happy leading a simple life because no matter who they are, evryone deserves a chance at happiness. perhaps this is my mind's defence mechanism? lolol. in the end i guess, i badly want to prove to myself something. all i ask is a chance to do that, though i hardly deserve it.

ah well, i wish evryone all the best if uve succeeded. n to tell others like myself, to push on if we didnt make it the first time. u only fail if u fail to stand up n try again n again n again n again. aha memories will remind us that our past is real, so keep them, treasure them if u will. coz we walked together till the very end, rise or fall. 1906

I was playing my game of DotA when I got really excited when my sister looked at me in disbelief and asked if I have gone nutty. A non gamer cannot understand the joy a gamer derives from his game. Which is why most girls cannot understand the pleasure a guy can derive from playing computer games. But the problem is, most girls are non gamers. My sister herself is not. I remember ending up with nothing but egg in the face when I tried to get her to play Counterstrike some years ago. It wasn't even a random game chosen; she is a marksman (NPCC), and counterstrike is a shooting game, so there is some obscure link. Now for those who are interested as to whether I am a marksman myself, sad to say, no. However, I still managed a 45/90, so that's 50% accuracy, meaning that you should still be wary should I come charging at you with a pistol in hand, except that Singapore doesn't allow the sale of firearms. By the way, I suspect the officer shifted the shooting board a few centimetres futher back because I probably irked him by spinning the gun barrel. Hey, anything for +1 to James Bond factor right?

This is my hypothesis: Guys have a particular gene, which I will refer to as Gene V. Why V? No, I am not thinking of va va voom. V stands for violence and victorious.

All (now, don't bitch to me about how wrong this term is based on GP) games that are wildly popular across the globe involve violence. Usually, you blow up half the places you transverse past anyway. Counterstrike's objective is to actually plant/defuse a bomb or to rescue hostages. But who cares, everyone is more concerned about blowing each other's brain up. Unreal Tournament is about blasting projectiles at weird-looking hybrids. Half Life is about annihilating aliens. DotA is primarily crushing enemies and forcing your way through and destroying the enemy's base. Oh my, even the oh-so-cute Maplestory involves slaughtering of pigs with ribbons!

Why then do we like violence that much? It is innate. I mean look, in ancient times, we have like, um, by Normal Approximation, 90% of the male population running around with swords in the pugilistic world. Applying Darwinian Theory, survival of the fittest blah blah blah, those who suck at martial arts do not live to reproduce (or produce unviable offsprings). So you see, it's inheritance.

Can't girls inherit this trait? Two plausible reasonings. The first, quite simply, is that the allele is sex-linked. The other, would be that such girls enter the pugilistic world and die young, ie. such girls are not viable; but that would be alpha-male and frowned upon. As such, may I introduce an alternative theorem. The gene, while inheritable by both genders, is only expressed should the testerone level hit a certain level. There you go, we have a complex reasoning far better than "oh, it's sex-linked".

Sure, we have Huang Rong, but her dad is kind of eccentric. The eccentric breeds eccentricity. Duh. We have Li MoChou (an evil priestess) and Xiao Long Nu (Little Dragon Girl, refer to Yong Cheng for an in-depth but highly unrelated to novel analysis), but they are both weirdos as well. I mean how sane can anyone be if they spend decades living in a tomb? And the last time I checked, playing with bees (no pun reference intended) suggests you are in need of a doctor.

Now I know someone would point out that there are female gamers around. There is even a DotA clan where all the members are females. Ha ha ha, your entire theory is shit. Here's when Mendel is useful, other than drawing that silly genetics diagram during A levels. Speaking of which, do you guys remember the final question on evolution? The animal is drogon, or something like that. I nearly end up writing dragon all over. Silly me. Still, I disgressed, but then, that's pretty usual of me. Applying the concept of continuous variation, we can still support my theorem! Alternatively, we can use the supressor/activator lac operon bullshit, but then I honestly have no idea what the hell it is about, so I would just ditch that supporting argument altogether.

Guys play games also because we get a sense of satisfaction when we win. Girls probably find this stupid and childish. Which I have to agree to an extent. Hohoho, we have squashed that hideous abomination that looks worse than a Frankenstein experiment gone wrong. So what? Boo hoo, there is no one to present a trophy to us. (Competitive gaming comes later, hold your horses.) Again, I suspect this to be in-born in guys. We love the feeling of being better. That is why guys can enjoy sports more than girls. There is great satisfaction in draining a three point shot or sending the ball in between two stupid wooden poles with a powerful kick.

Why do girls do sports then? Again, it got to do with Gene V, this time, V for Vanity. Sticking a finger down your throat is not a way to keep slim for health reasons. Now I shall explain why diet is not as well. Our bodies are accustomed to a certain level of intake, by depriving it suddenly, it would definitely react. By Le Chatelier's Principle, if we were to decrease energy intake, the body will counteract by decreasing output. That could mean the body refusing to squeeze out that extra ounce of energy needed to excrete, resulting in constipation and water retention, thereby counter-productive to the aim of keeping a diet. Thus, the best way is to exercise. This ties in perfectly. Since the fairer gender sees sports as a chore, they do not enjoy it as much as us guys.

Back to gaming. Some kind of competitive gaming(by this I mean prize money being involved, not the 1v1 DotA games I have with ZhaoCong) are alright in my opinion. Some sucks in a way though. Like DotA. What you see are the same heroes being used and the same items being purchased almost every match. Yes, there are innovations, but you need to be earning supernormal profits, which isn't very viable since there are low barriers to entry. Koreans are said to be the most adventure-loving. Singapore's own DotA "hero" (no pun intended again), with the screen name of ToFuBoi (wonder if it's smelly), once used a single hero (Razor) throughout a tournament. Purely my opinion, but sometimes, even the most exciting games become tiresome when played at a competitive level.

So in conclusion, males have a barbaric nature. That explains why I love to grunt for no apparent reason. Deep down, we enjoy destruction, death and decay. Pardon my abrupt end, but the beast is about to rage any moment.

its tough being an Alpha Program Top Student, with all the staying back till late to prove our prowess. me and my friends didnt want to conform, so we decided that we were gna.....sleep. starting with my friend who thru natural selection, has evolved the ability to sleep anytime. whtether he wants to or not. im bloody jealous man. the rest of us need some time to fall asleep, he can do it in less than 5 seconds on a good day.

ppl usually go to macdonals to eat, but ard aj, ppl go there to mug. so my study grp, we went there to eat. after eating we took out our notes. but being true blue non-conformists, we soon fell asleep. in macdonalds. hardcore beb. so this post is dedicated to sleep, or as i call it, practice for death. go sleep ppl. stop struggling in life, you wont survive it anyway.

Ladies and Gentlemen, before I begin with my crapcraft, I would like to caution that this crapcraft would be rather long. Yes, instead of making a long story short, I decided to make a short story long. You may wish to proceed to the toilet first, get a drink or do something more important first.

Now today, I would be discussing something that everyone does. Not just you and me, but something everyone on Earth does. A fat guy does it, so does a slim person. A girl does it, so does a guy. It doesn’t matter how tall you’re, you do it. It doesn’t matter how fit or healthy you’re, you do it. In fact, I suspect aliens, if there are, does this too!

Now what is so amazing about this thing that you do is that you have never been taught how to do it. Nobody has ever taught anybody how to do it but everyone does it. Even idiots of an Intelligence Quotient of 0 does it.

Alright, I know Christmas is coming. But no, the thing that I am talking about is not celebrating Christmas. Besides, not everyone does that. Not to mention that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.

There are approximately two billion children (people under 18) in the world. However, since Santa does not visit children of Muslim, Hindu, Jewish or Buddhist religions, this reduces the workload for Christmas night to 15% of the total, or 378 million (according to the population reference bureau). At a census rate of 3.5 children per household, that comes to 108 million homes, presuming there is at least one good child in each.
Santa has about 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 967.7 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with a good child, Santa has around 1/1000th of a second to park the sleigh, hop out, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left for him, get back up the chimney, jump into the sleigh and get onto the next house.

Assuming that each of these 108 million stops is evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course, we know to be false, but will accept for the purposes of our calculations), we are not talking about 0.78 miles per household; a total trip of 75.5 million miles, not counting bathroom stops or breaks.

This means Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second--3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest man made vehicle, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4 miles per second, and a conventional reindeer can run (at best) 15 miles per hour. The payload of the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium sized LEGO set (two pounds), the sleigh is carrying over 500 thousand tons, not counting Santa himself. On land, a conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300 pounds. Even granting that "flying reindeer can pull 10 times the normal amount, the job can't be done with eight or even nine of them---Santa would need 360,000 of them. This increases the payload, not counting the weight of the sleigh, another 54,000 tons, or roughly seven times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth (the ship, not the monarch, for god’s sake).

A mass of nearly 600,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance -- this would heat up the reindeer in the same fashion as a spacecraft re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer would absorb 14.3 quintillion joules of energy per second each. In short, they would burst into flames almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer behind them and creating deafening sonic booms in their wake. The entire reindeer team would be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second, or right about the time Santa reaches the fifth house on his trip. Not that it matters, however, since Santa, as a result of accelerating from a dead stop to 650 m.p.s. in .001 seconds, would be subjected to acceleration forces of 17,000 g's.

A 250 pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim considering all the high calorie snacks he must have consumed over the years) would be pinned to the back of the sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force, instantly crushing his bones and organs and reducing him to a quivering blob of pink goo. Therefore, if Santa did exist, he's dead now. MERRY CHISTMAS!!!

Now that we mentioned the topic of religion, I would like to digress to it. You see, this is partially the reason why this is going to be long. I enjoy going off tangent and talking moot. Hahaha.

In most religions, there exists a place called Hell. By the definition of a tattered and rather torn Longman dictionary I have at home, Hell is defined as the place where you go when you die if you’re a bad person. Stupid and lousy definition, but that’s pretty much besides the point. The issue is more on the Chemistry of Hell.

Is Hell exothermic or endothermic?

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving.

I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Yes, I know Singapore has a declining birth rate despite the campaigns and stupid stuff like baby bonus, but globally, this is not the case.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

Going by Chinese folklore, there are 18 levels of Hell. Since I believe they do not expand each level of hell and that there have been no news of the 19th level of hell, we can assume that Hell has boiled over, meaning all Hell broke loose. In other words, we’re currently being surrounded by evil spirits waiting to prey on us, even though we do not see them.

But on a happier note, that means even if we are Satan reincarnates, we won’t go to Hell, since it doesn’t exist anymore. I mean, what’s the point of being angels since Santa doesn’t exist and we won’t get our presents? Not worth the dime, imo. Hahaha…

For the sake of those who aren’t too familiar with internet jargon, imo means in my opinion. Imho means in my humble opinion. Rofl means rolling on floor laughing. Atm means at the moment. Ffs means for fun sake. Bs means bullshit. Omg means oh my god, whichever God you’re referring to. =)

The above paragraph is a classical example of digressing. In fact, I think I have talked so much about irrelevant stuff that I am getting tired and feel like having a game of DotA now.

DotA is short for Defence of the Ancients. Why anyone would want to defend the Ancients is beyond me. That’s why I prefer to be on the baddie side, Scourge. The main objective of DotA is to destroy your opponents' main structure before they destroy your own. Each player chooses a hero, with its own skills, strengths, and weaknesses to achieve this objective. But hell, most of the time, DotA becomes just about killing the heroes of the opposing side. Which is why my favourite hero, Razor the Lightning Revenant doesn’t see much play, since he doesn’t have much hero-killing prowess.

Talking about Lightning, it has been raining for the past few days. I guess that’s why Lijie said to bring umbrella for Service Learning. Thanks for the reminder. =)

To get back on my original topic, this thing we do is best done when it rains. As Suting would say “Good weather ma.” Right, so the thing is sleeping.

Sleeping. Different people have different views on sleeping. Some see it as a necessity, and only sleep when they feel tired. Some see it as a luxury, and these people are usually those who have panda eyes, being so sleep-deprived. Some actually enjoy sleeping. For sure, sleeping is something I do pretty often in the lecture theatres.

But what do we exactly do when we sleep? When we say we chat online, we type stuff on the keyboard. When we say we mug, we’re either buried in notes or churning out pages of written words.

Saying that shutting our eyes is sleeping is not complete. We can shut our eyes but not sleep. We can relax and shut our eyes, but not sleep, instead, we meditate. After that lousy definition of Hell, I shall not drag myself off the chair I am sitting on to get the Longman dictionary, so we shall just forget about what exactly is sleeping. If you’re really interested in the definition of sleep, I suggest a Wikipedia search.

When we sleep, we do something. We do something subconsciously. We dream. Whether you remember your dream or not, you dream. Believe it or not, according to research, each dream lasts only 5-20 minutes. For calculations purposes, we would take it that each dream lasts the maximum of 20 minutes.

Suppose you sleep 8 hours a day, which shouldn’t be a problem considering it’s holidays. 8 multiplied by 60 is 480. In other words, in 8 hours, we have 480 minutes. Yes, I know this is simple mathematics, but I am just making this entry darn long ffs. And for those who forgot, ffs means for fun sake. So we sleep for 480 minutes. 480 divided by 20 is 24, meaning that we will have a minimum of 24 dreams every night.

Now let’s introduce a variable X. It’s always X, don’t ask why. Irregardless of whether the topic is about energy output, some term you need to pick out in a geometric progression or the standard deviation, it is always X. That’s why we have X-Men I guess. Which brings a rather interesting idea I have.

Why is X-Men called X-Men? We know males have Y chromosomes. Females are the ones with XX chromosomes. So why isn’t X-Men called Y-Men? Wouldn’t it be more suitable? A possible logical reasoning though, would be that the X is for the female characters like Storm, Jean Grey etc while the Men is for the likes of Gambit, Wolverine, Cyclops etc. And oh, just another random fact, Gambit is my favourite X-Men character.

To get back on topic, what is the variable X?

X would be the number of people you know. If you know a million people, X would be 1,000,000. If you know 200 people, X would be two hundred. Hahaha…I know you got the drift.

Since we all have a minimum of 24 dreams every night, the probability of me appearing in your dreams tonight is 1 over X multiplied by 24 (1*24/X).

Hatib i'm not a NOOB okayy!

Anw, this picture was taken on a very errie day, the day when we are suppposed to plan SL. The story goes like this... In the morning, suting, kia hui and carmen coincidentally wear pink to go for PW meeting, while taking the lift, some auntie also wore pink too!! When we went to hatib's house, and his mother wore pink as well!! After that pinkish morning, the 3 girls went to li jie's house.

On their way there, after having to climb the slope to Li Jie's house. For no reason, the 3 girls got chased by a dog. Carmen and kia hui got very scared and tried to run away, reflex actions told suting to grab the 2 girls,using two hands (which is commonly known as the "hur" action as publicised by carmen and kia hui). In the means of grabbing, the dog suddenly jus turned and ran back into its owner's house. All of a sudden, suting became the "hero" for the dog chasing experience.

After much efforts, the girls finally reached their destination. When they enter the room that the rest were in, coincidentally, Jia Hui and Jia Ying were wearing pink too. While the rest are either in black or white. Li Jie and Zhao Liang were the Black warriors, while ena and yu ling were the white white warriors.

Hence that was why this photo came about, to signify the Errie day that happened that day.

We've all been there but dont like to admit it. We've all kicked back in our cubicles and suddenly felt something brewing down below. As much as we try to convince ourselves otherwise, the SCHOOL POO is inevitable. For those who hate pooing at school, following is the Survival Guide for taking a dump at school.

CROP DUSTING
When farting, you walk briskly around the school so the smell is not in your area and everyone else gets a whiff but doesnt know where it came from. Be careful when you do this. Do not stop until the full fart has been expelled.Walk an extra 30 feet to make sure the smell has left your pants.
FLY BY
The act of scouting out a bathroom before pooing. Walk in and check for other pooers. If there are others in the bathroom, leave and come back again. Be careful not to become a FREQUENT FLYER. People may become suspicious if they catch you constantly going into the bathroom.
ESCAPEE
A fart that slips out while taking a leak at the urinal or forcing a poop in a stall. This is usually accompanied by a sudden wave of embarrassment. If you release an escapee, do not acknowledge it. Pretend it did not happen. If you are standing next to the farter in the urinal, pretend you did not hear it. No one likes an escapee. It is uncomfortablefor all involved. Making a joke or laughing makes both parties feel uneasy.
JAILBREAK
When forcing a poo, several farts slip out at a machine gun pace. This is usually a side effect of diarrhea or a hang over. If this should happen, do not panic. Remain in the stall until everyone has left the bathroom to spare everyone the awkwardness of what just occurred.
COURTESY FLUSH
The act of flushing the toilet the instant the poo hits the water. This reduces the amount of air time the poo has to stink up the bathroom. This can help you avoid being caught doing the WALK OF SHAME.
WALK OF SHAME
Walking from the stall, to the sink, to the door after you have just stunk up the bathroom. This can be a very uncomfortable moment if someone walks in and busts you. As with farts, it is best to pretend that the smell does not exist. Can be avoided with the use of the COURTESY FLUSH.
OUT OF THE CLOSET POOER
A student who poos at school and is damn proud of it. Youwill often see an Out Of The Closet Pooer enter the bathroom with a newspaper or magazine under his or her arm. Always look around the office for the Out Of The Closet Pooer before entering the bathroom.
THE POOING FRIENDS NETWORK (P.F.N)
A group of friends who band together to ensure emergency pooing goes off without incident. This group can help you to monitor the whereabouts of Out Of The Closet Pooers, and identify SAFE HAVENS.
SAFE HAVENS
A seldom used bathroom somewhere in the building where you can least expect visitors. Try floors that are predominantly of the opposite sex. This will reduce the odds of a pooer of your sex entering the bathroom.
TURD BURGLAR
Someone who does not realize that you are in the stall and tries to force the door open. This is one of the most shocking and vulnerable moments that can occur when taking a poo. If this occurs, remain in the stall until the Turd Burglar leaves. This way you will avoid all uncomfortable eye contact.
CAMO-COUGH
A phony cough that alerts all new entrants into the bathroomthat you are in a stall. This can be used to cover-up a WATERMELON, or to alert potential Turd Burglars. Very effective when used in conjunction with an ASTAIRE.
ASTAIRE
A subtle toe-tap that is used to alert potential Turd Burglars that you are occupying a stall. This will removeall doubt that the stall is occupied. If you hear an Astaire, leave the bathroom immediately so the pooer can poo in peace.
WATERMELON
A poo that creates a loud splash when hitting the toilet water. This is also an embarrassing incident. If you feel a Watermelon coming on, create a diversion. See CAMO-COUGH.
HAVANA OMELET
A case of diarrhea that creates series of loud splashes in the toilet water. Often accompanied by an Escapee. Try using Camo-Cough with an Astaire.
UNCLE TED
A bathroom user who seems to linger around forever. Could spend extended lengths of time in front of the mirror or sitting on the pot. An Uncle Ted makes it difficult to relax while on the crapper, as you should always wait to poo when the bathroom is empty. This benefits you as well as the other bathroom attendees.

Galz n 6 guys, i have some *insert title*. the pw draft must be completed with full details n all the things u think is necessary for handing in. i mean there's no more draft....the preliminary idea needs to be handed in by PW lesson on monday. some problems with holidays on pw lesson days or sumtin, so we need to hand up early...for those that dont hand in, then im afraid its a U grade for PW.

as we all know this coming Friday 31st March 2006 is the I&E day.. we are expected to be in school as usual by 7.25am reporting at AJ square. in case it rains, JC1s are supposed to go to the Auditorium.

Itinerary for the day
8.00am - blk 11 (level 3&4)
8 .45am - audi
10.15am - break!!
11.00am - blk 3 (sci booths)
11.45am - blk10, MPH, outside PE office (sports booths)
12.30pm - LT1
1.15pm - break!!
2.00pm - 1144 home room (expected to help clean up the room)

ending sch at 2.40pm but think it'll drag
anyone leaving b4 2.45pm must obtain permission from principal
anyway, rmb we still haf chem lecture at 3.00pm to 4.00pm
rmb bring chem lecture notes!

we are supposed to follow the schedule strictly, no loitering ard allowed

International Friendship Day Poster

Here's the info on wad we have to do 4 our poster.....

Instruction to students:

As part of International Friendship Day, the school will display posters to depict what International Relations / Friendship means to students. The posters will be displayed at the foyer area and the area outside LT1.

Things to do--
Students r to design a poster:
-using a folded mahjong paper(provided)
-it has to be a 3D image design
-Using onli primary colours OR not more than 3 colours
-based on the theme "What International Relations / Friendship means to me"

Other points to note:
The poster shld highlight a significant link bet. S'pore and Netherlands. Eg:Economic link

Submission of poster is on the 5 april 2006.

AJ Family Day

we, as a class, is expected to come out with a stall/booth to sell food, services or games.. but the JC2s encourage us to go for games and services.. apparently we came out with several ideas

1. huanted house
to haf a darkdark room with our own pp acting as 'ghosts' to scare pp and freak them out.. making them spend money to scare themselves
2. dunking
for pp to sabo -.-
3. handicrafts + snacks
selling our own made stuffs plus a variety of snacks tt cant find in usual supermarkets
4. candyland
all sorts of candies => mini Candy Empire
5. moremoremore ideas...

reimbursement for our expenses will come solely from tickets collected at our booth. but if we earn back our own expenses, the profits will go to the sch's Student Welfare Fund.

Deadline for submission: 31st March Friday

the lockers are quite deep n big from feedbck

had an ultra long day in sch
hate tuesday manx!!
how horrible la..
it was a bliss yday
but it's hell-like today!!

especially the the the PE!!
ran 2 rounds for the girls
not too bad,
we still made it in time
1906 girls!! well done!! haha
but ar.. i think we all dieded
at the hanghang on pole one
next one looked easy
but killing too
all our eldows were bleeding
so poorthing..
but it's ok.. *sayangs k..

basically after the painful
elbow thingy we went numb
with the rest of the excercise
lucky time passed quickly
took height n weight den

& went home together!
